Back in 2004, I wrote a blog on my Xanga site about the woman who was burned by McDonald’s coffee and sued the company. The blog began with a tirade about the tragic nature of the state of our society… and ended with an awkwardly written nevermind-I-take-that-back, because I’d done a little research.
The story has practically become an urban legend, and I’m certain I’m not alone in having been ignorant on the details. But rather than subject you to my writing as a 20 year old, I’ll let the New York Times tell the story better than I could.
When you’re finished watching, join me in passing on the truth. As Paul Harvey used to say, “And now you know the rest of the story.” Let’s make sure everyone does.
